About Bayou Radar
Bayou Radar is a nationwide live radar and weather-intelligence service that brings live radar, government-issued weather alerts, storm tracking, tropical weather, forecasts, lightning information, and storm-awareness tools together in one fast and easy-to-use platform. Its mission is Weather Intelligence for Everyone.
Weather data routing
Bayou Radar is the primary alert service. The direct National Weather Service API is contacted only for an area whose Bayou Radar request fails. A valid Bayou Radar response containing no active alerts remains authoritative and does not cause a fallback request.
